Join Our Education Teams

Triangle Creative Education Foundation (TCEF) is a 503(c) non-profit organization. Our mission is:

“To provide the cutting edge computer science learning opportunities to our K-12 school students by leveraging the intelligent resources in our RTP communities.

The American’s STEM education, including Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, are left behind among the most advanced countries. Our science education mostly focuses on biology, chemistry and physics. It is time for Computer Science to be seen as a core science in STEM. However in our current K-12 system we don’t have enough qualified computer science teachers to catch up with the fast development of the computer technologies. Therefore our computer science education in K-12 schools is very outdated and not available to every student.

Research Triangle Park (RTP) is one of the smartest areas in the U.S. We have top universities, top national IT companies in RTP. More than 50% of population in RTP has bachelor’s degree.

Therefore, the solution to our education problems is not at school. It is in our smartest and kindest communities. It is in your hands!  Please join our TCEF’s IT Club as a teacher, a coach or a class projector creator. Together, we can make American’s K-12 education great again!

  • Project Developer: In our IT Club, we use project based teaching and just in time learning.  Class project developer help us develop computer science projects and tutorials that uses the latest computer technologies, and also suitable for middle and high school students.

Volunteers are welcome! However, although we are a non-profit organization, as a way to say thank you, we can give certain compensations to our teachers, coaches and developers for their hard work and contributions to our communities. The compensation is on par with other non-profit weekend schools.
