Class-1: Python Programming for Beginners:

Why Learn Python? Python has been ranked #1 as the most important programming language. It is easy to learn for beginners, and also being widely used in the latest technologies like machine learning.

Why This Class? TCEF’s instructors are IT professionals with 15+ years experience and have great passion of teaching kids programming. This Class is designed to let our students to have fun while learning programming by using computers to solve interesting problems and draw graphics.

Practice makes perfect! In this class students will master Python via programming more than a hundred of little Python programs.

Class-2: Basic Computer Programming Concepts and Game Making

Either you want to learn basic computer programming concepts without coding, OR you want to learn to develop games like a pro, this class is right for you.

  • Learn basic computer programming concepts like variables, conditions and loops without writing codes.
  • Learn to use a professional game development framework to make games on Web and iPhone/Android.
  • Improve logical thinking. Inspire your creativity and imagination.

Class Summary

With the fast development of micro-electronics and 5G technologies, more and more IoT (Internet of Things) and smart home appliances are entering our daily life.  In order for students in RTP to understand and experience these cutting edge technologies, Triangle Creative Education Foundation (TCEF) is very excited to introduce the smart digital product design class, a highly praised STEM class from Innovaker of Silicon Valley.

In this class, students will go through the whole process for developing a product using various digital tools, which include 3D design/printing, microprocessor and electronics control, and computer programming. The example product in this class is a digital lamp with the user defined functions by programming.

Enjoy online small classes with a live teacher and 5 students. Every student will get enough attention and help from the teacher. No previous programming experience is required. Our teacher will teach everything necessary for the class project based on every student’s level. Class videos are available if you missed any class.

Teachers are college students from top universities and high school seniors who have at least 3 years of STEM club experience.

  • Class for 2-6th grade: once or twice a week. Class time is flexible and will be based on everyone’s availability. Class starts from mid September. 1 hour/per class. Totally 12 classes.
  • Class for 6-9th grade: once or twice a week. Class time is flexible and will be based on everyone’s availability. Class starts from mid September. 1 hour/per class. Totally 14 classes.
  • Class will start in late January, 2021. You will get full refund if you can’t find a schedule that work for you.

8th grader and above students who finished this class are qualified to be the teaching assistants in the future classes and eventually can become paid teachers.

Fun Python Projects – Advanced Python Class

After you have learned Python, if you are still wondering what you can do with Python and why so many people love it, then please join us for a new class! In this class, you will have a guided tour into the fantastic world of Python with the following projects:

  • 2D Game Design
  • Data Visualization
  • Face Detection and SnapChat Filters
  • Drive Lane Detection
  • Puzzle Solving Assistant
  • Speech and Image Recognition with AI

All of the above projects are actually mini Python projects (< 200 lines). You will be amazed by the power of Python and the easiness of Python programming. If Python were a race car, then this class will invite you to sit in the front passenger seat, and let a professional driver take you to many fun race tracks! After this class, you will improve programming skills and have a better understanding of many computer technologies. You will love Python and want to use it to create more fun projects.

  • 8/30/2020 – 12/6/2020 Every Sunday 7:30pm – 9:00pm except for holidays.
  • Online classes with live teacher in English (Using Zoom)
  • For 6th grade and up
  • Students should have basic Python knowledge, can understand Python syntax.
