What’s the problem with our K-12 education?
Our current school system has been around for hundreds of years. Although technologies have changed almost every aspects of our life, our education system is barely changed. Our students today depends too much on schools and teachers accessing quality Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning. However, in America, we have an inadequate pipeline of teachers skilled in those subjects. Most of our STEM education in K-12 schools are outdated. A recent survey revealed that only 29 percent of Americans rated this country’s K-12 education in STEM subjects as above average or the best in the world. In our competitive global economy, this situation is unacceptable.
The Research Triangle Park (RTP) is one of the smartest areas in the U.S. Over 50% of the population has a bachelor’s degree. There are three top ranked research universities, and many legendary corporations like SAS, NetApp, Cisco, Lenovo in RTP.

Our Mission
Triangle Creative Education Foundation (TCEF)’s mission is to leverage the intelligent resources in our RTP communities, to provide the cutting edge STEM learning opportunities to our students, to let our students to learn and experience the latest and greatest technologies as early as possible, to make our students to get ready for the next big thing.
Beside of learning innovation tech-knowledge, we also want to empower student members with the core values of leadership, responsibility, increasing diversified cultural awareness and understanding throughout the community. Students will have opportunities to do variety of community services, attend training programs & cultural recreational events. These extracurricular activities help them to build their character, leadership, organizing skill, creative, responsibility, team player, integrity and perseverance.
