TCEF STEM Maker Day!
Hands on Learning is often called experiential learning by educators. Building small, self-contained projects is a great way to learn and expand on your skills. When you learn by building something new instead of just through reading and theory, you learn implicitly rather than explicitly, and are more likely to retain and use the knowledge you’ve gained.
- If your child likes to build things, but unfortunately was not selected into the school Science Olympiad team,
- If your child knows little about Science Olympiad building events, but you want them to get some experience for the future,
- If you want to inspire his/her potential in building things,
Please come and join our build to learn STEM Maker day event!
What Students Will Learn:
- Attend the presentations by experienced student coaches about 2-3 STEM building projects, what are the requirements, how to design, and the science behind the design.
- Using the design and materials we will provide, under the guide and help of our student coaches, build 2-3 projects by themselves.
- After building the projects, there will be brainstorming sections on how to improve the performance of the design.
